Handle with Care reserves the right to refuse entry to a pet that is not healthy, or that is aggressive or in any way poses a threat to other dogs or persons in the class. At any time during the course of training, a dog that is considered to be a threat to other dogs or persons may be removed from class. Owner agrees to indemnify and hold Handle with Care and Humane Society of Utah harmless from all liability for any loss, damage or injury to persons animals or property arising from or related to owner’s pet. Owner agrees that Humane Society of Utah and/or trainer shall not be liable for loss or damage to animal for any reason unless said loss or damage was a direct result of location or trainer’s negligence.

PLEASE NOTE:

For Level One, our dog must be:

Current on all vaccinations. Must have proof of current vaccinations (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo and Rabies) for dogs 6 months and older. Bordetella, though not required for class, is recommended. Please bring a copy of these records for our files. You can request a copy of these records from your vet.
6 months or older for Level One
Safe around people and other dogs (if there is any doubt about this, please call me)

For Puppy Class, your puppy must:

have a minimum of 2 sets of vaccinations
Puppies need a minimum of 2 sets of vaccinations within 4 1/2 months of age.

You will need to bring:

A six foot leash (no retractables)
A buckle collar (no chokes)
Treats (soft treats are preferable) We will begin weaning off treats Week II.

You may want to bring:

A favorite toy or chew if necessary, to calm your pet
Comfortable shoes and clothing

Everyone in your family is welcome to come (children must be over 8 years)

The class sizes are usually kept to seven dogs. Enrollment is based on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. you will not be confirmed for class until payment is made. No refunds after the course has begun.

You can use PayPal to pay for your class enrollment on the next page, or mail a check along with your enrollment form. I will call you at least a week before class to confirm your enrollment. Classes are held at the Humane Society of Utah, located at 4242 South 300 West in Murray. Classes often sell out, so please enroll your dog as soon as possible.
